Artist anaylisis - lord huron

Album cover

Lord Huron - 'into the sun' EP album cover

The album art links directly to the type of music that this band have created. In the cover we see a range of different things; elephants, an ocean, ruins and a sunset. The band is folk/alternative, and use a range of different instruments to create and african vibe along with mixed harmonies that instantly reminds you of africa.
The cover has a dusty look to it, as if its an old painting with a history and a story. The fact that the elephants are in the middle of this ocean with nothing around them also creates a sense of space and  freedom.

This album cover does not have any of the normal conventions of a common album. It does not have the name of the artist or the name of the album. This could be so that the artist has a sense if mystery making the audience want to by the album foe this reason.

The website is easy to find with a simple address:

Their website has a very basic layout allowing the audience to navigate through the system easily. It has links for you to buy the album, view tour dates and venues and info on the band members. Its simple yet very artistic. They have links for you to be able to download their songs from itunes and amazon, always giving the audience a chance to down load their music.

They have uploaded various songs to you tube however they have not made a music video yet. This means that they have a gap in the market in which to advertise themselves.

They also have a Myspace which allows fans to listen to all of their content.
